I have a dual-boot system that works pretty easily. It's a bit odd to begin
with, but it works...
1) create a linux boot disk (pick your flavour) that has fdisk on it...the
linux kind of fdisk, not DOS.
2) fdisk
a) create your partitions <n>
b)type your partitions <t>. For a Linux/Win95 dual boot, the following
works best:
hda1 - Linux
hda2 - swap
hda3 - Win95/98 (this works best as type 6, not VFAT)
c) start by flagging the Windows partition as bootable.
d)save and reboot
3)install Windows first
4)when done, use DOS fdisk to flag your linux partition as bootable.
5) install Linux
6) put both partitions up on Lilo.
7) Should take no longer than...maybe 1.5h..including the fdisk.
Hope this is useful.
