Look at the modem setup string, or the modem's power up settings.
Depending on your modem, the W or X or other AT commands might control
what is displayed when the connection is made. For instance, on some
modems setting W0 causes the serial port speed to be reported, and W2
causes the data link speed (modem to modem) to be reported.
