Hello!

I'm very satisfied with SuSE 6.0 and many things work just out of the box, I'm having
problems to setup
my email properly.

First, I have problems running fetchmailconf to configure fetchmail. When I run it, it
probs my ISP reporting
that POP3 protocol is OK, but then when I want to edit user - there are some errors on
the console window.

Then I wanted to edit manually .fetchmailrc and always I got the message that password
for my username is
wrong although wvdial uses the same one to connect to ISP.

Then I went to check sendmail and I've discovered that altthough mail is delivered
normally without the
problem, there is 501 error in sendmail: Sender domain ..

I'm too stupid to solve the problem alone and I'd like to avoid configuring sendmail
via m4 macros if possible.

Is there any kind soul to help me setup my email.

My email is [EMAIL PROTECTED], mail server of my ISP is mail.iskon.hr and pop.iskon.hr.
(.fetchmailrc needs
aka to somehow resolve inet.hr & iskon.hr)

There are 2 DNS adresses of my ISP server: address1 & address2.

I want to have the name of my machine: hostname.domain.hr

I want to use Applix mail as a client delivering (SMTP) & fetching (POP3) mail with
sendmail with PPP
dial-up connection and local mail to be delivered locally.

I believe it's very simple and it can be done through Yast and some simple configure,
but I am caught in a
mistic circle not being able to come out.
Please, if someone can give me guidelines how to achieve desired scenario: what
settings and where.

It would be nice to dial with a script (now I'm dial with wvdial) and then
automatically deliver mail, fetch new
mail and quit upon request if I'm also on surfing the web .
Please, help.
Sasa
