Of course this info can be found at any mirror of The Linux Documentation Project,
commonly referred to as LDP, this URL http://www.rpm.org/support/RPM-HOWTO.html
is one that is accessable. This is the HOWTO for building RPMS.

Another source is the book, "MAXIMUM RPM" by Edward C. Bailey, Pub. SAMS.

It will be really cool to see SuSE users adding to the contrib directory
on ftp.suse.com !
