Yes, I have noticed that Gimp and Image Magic will not run
since I upgraded to 3.3.3.
However , I was guessing that it was due to the fact that
I have a patched up 5.1 distribution going.
On the bright side, might Netscape 4.5 stopped giving
me those weird bus-error crashes.
I'm not totally dependent on Gimp, or ImageMagic. If you
need to view pictures, xv still works, on my machine anyways.
I just holding on until version 6 comes out, it probably is all
due to subtle incompatibilities between libc5 and glibc.
This is a confusing switch over.
I know it is not the XFree86.3.3.3's problem, because I have
a Redhat 5.2 partition going with the glibc SVGA server from
Xfree86.3.3.3 and Gimp and IM run fine on it.
