You also have to edit your /etc/isapnp.conf file to tell
isapnp which irq's and io addresses to use. Basically just
edit the isapnp.conf file, and uncomment out the # in front
of the irqs you want. 

Just because Board1 was identified at boot time, it didn't
get initialized with the right irq's and io's.

A second entry later in the boot process will tell you the board
has been initialized.
