I just hope that it doesn't happen.
My understanding is that IBM is planning on putting OS/2 Warp on the Open Source
market to give another alternative to Microsoft products. Whether or not you
like OS/2, this is a pretty cool idea. Microsoft can't buy OS/2.
Besides, if this ever happens, it would be cool to see all these excellent GNU
utilities and Linux things ported to OS/2 where it can then be accepted by the
general public who is scared to death of anything that smells like Unix.
