Well, it's nice to know a start has been made, with lots of distinguished
important members.

I had a look at the actual spec:

  http://www.linuxbase.org/spec/spec/book01.html

Now, if this were more than a partial list of topics, and were not most of
its sections empty or with only minimal information, then the LinuxBase
project might have an influence. Meanwhile, it still seems that very
little exists to define a standard. So, with regret, I can't agree that
Donnie's reply is a useful response to the points raised above!
