Not quite. The compiler doesn't look for libraries, that's the linker's
job. It looks in the variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and in /etc/ld.so.cache,
in /usr/lib, and in /lib. Try using -L/dirwheremyqtlibsare in the
Makefile. If you ran ./configure (if there was one) it should have done
this for you.
