Mr. Rodenburg, et al.:

Fair enough! I will build 2.4.19-pre5 and put it on the Ultra 5.
I too would agree with your logic, I just wanted to make sure I
understood the way you were describing the issues.

However, I am still curious about the Happy Meal Ethernet; did
you have more success with it working properly under 2.4.19?

Well, "WILL" not boot maybe a little harsh but as a number of people
reported not being to be able to boot Ultra10's and Ultra2's etc with
2.4.18 as well as my self getting stuck at "mounted VFS root" -> poof
freeze i'd rather say "very unlikely to boot a Ultra5".

This while 2.4.18 patched to 2.4.19-pre4 with EXACTLY the same options
in the .config, booted without a hitch and is running a very stable
server over here with a high-load soft-RAID5 and everything.

The fact that the Ultra5 is practically the same as the Ultra10 led me
to my answer.

In my quest for the "2.4.18 won't boot on my Ultra10" problem some guy
said there was a Sparc specific bug in 2.4.18. I then started trying
2.4.19-pre4 and viola !

Greetings,
Steve
