The default options for s2ram (-s -p) don't work correctly on my system -- when it resumes, I get nothing at all on the text console and I get a huge mouse cursor that's just a square box of vertical lines if X (7.1.99) is running.
However, -s -m appears to work correctly (although -s -p -m doesn't!). It isn't perfect -- sometimes when it resumes the screen flickers badly. On the basis of a few tries, retrying it usually brings it back to life. The Radeon 9000 is an unusual configuration for the I8200 -- this is/was the top of the line graphics for this fine laptop. Most of these laptops have nVidia cards based on the geForce 2 or 4. It may well be that -s -p is the correct combination for those cards. -- Robert Krawitz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] Project lead for Gutenprint -- http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net "Linux doesn't dictate how I work, I dictate how Linux works." --Eric Crampton ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
