Hello Stefan, I've got these 3 laptops to usersuspend with s2ram:
the GR7K[0] sys_vendor = "Sony Corporation " sys_product = "PCG-GR7_K(J) " sys_version = "01 " bios_version = "R0208C0" works without any additional trick. The UX50[1] sys_vendor = "Sony Corporation" sys_product = "VGN-UX50" sys_version = "J001T941" bios_version = "R0071N2" 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a2] (rev 03) 00:02.1 Display controller [0380]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a6] (rev 03) works with any combination of '-m -p' (iow: '-m', '-p', '-p -m') to make the screen resume. Glitch: the console screen is not expanded anymore to 1024x600. and the SZ72B/B[2] sys_vendor = "Sony Corporation" sys_product = "VGN-SZ72B_B" sys_version = "J001WK6Z" bios_version = "R0091N0" which actually has 2 graphics chipsets an Intel one and an NVidia one, selectable before booting with a manual switch (stamina/speed). 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a2] (rev 03) 00:02.1 Display controller [0380]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a6] (rev 03) works with any combination of '-m -p' (iow: '-m', '-p', '-p -m') to make the screen resume. Glitch: the console screen is not expanded anymore to 1280x800. 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation GeForce Go 7400 [10de:01d8] (rev a1) the console stays unlit but the machine is alive and goes back to X nicely withouth any command line switch.
