Actually, I have not submitted bug to kernel bugzila. Instead, I risked and upgraded firmware of this cdrom with firmware provided by Dell. This laptop is from FSC, but dvd combo is Philips - SCB5265.
Drive behaves well and hald also. There are no error messages in logs.
