Hi, I just discovered that s2ram is the heart of my problems with suspending my laptop (not counting the fact that my swap is only a file which can't be used for doing a hibernate.) S2ram being the utility that actually does the suspend. So I sort of followed your procedure for testing which suspend works but for standby only. [I couldn't figure out how to put init=/bin/bash at the boot prompt either so I didn't test it that way.]
But I think I got it to work with s2ram -f -p -s This laptop is probably like the other Dell latitudes but it's not on the list. sys_vendor = "Dell Computer Corporation" sys_product = "Latitude C400 " sys_version = "" bios_version = "A12" Can I get a copy of s2ram with it in the list? Can the list be in a separate file? It is a neat little program. Thanks!
