the engine thermostat shouldn't have any effect on the glow plugs because they should only come on when the engine is cold. Once one plug starts to go, all the other ones will go, because they are all about the same age, and also it is possible, especially with 8 of them, the battery will give more power to 2 than 8, although the large batteries are supposed to avoid that. anton
