Scare tactics. From the NRC yet. It's big business now, scare tactics, yeah, right on Marc, duh. This is the screwiest "logic" I've seen all week. It's PEOPLE'S LIVES you're talking about. You know, lives - they're alive, then they're dead. Because some bunch of scurrilous idiots thought they were just faceless numbers to play bottom-line games with. Twelve cancer deaths per reactor. Let's change it a bit: 12 cancer deaths per reactor, and one of them is Mrs F. Marc de Piolenc, but that's meaningless because coal-fired steam plants are even worse. It's just a "cost", a mere "excess death", not worth bothering about, right? What on earth are "excess deaths"?? Is that when you end up killing even more people than you thought you would? By the way, you haven't replied to my comments on Petr Beckman, the pro-nuke anti-environmentalist crank who reckoned he was smarter than Einstein, whose outdated and out of print old book you refer us to.
