Todd, An in-depth technical and economic analysis prepared for the U.S. DOE is a pdf document titled "Lignocellulosic Biomass to Ethanol Process Design and Economics Utilizing Co-Current Dilute Acid Prehydrolysis and Enzymatic Hydrolysis Current and Futuristic Scenarios" (a mouthful:-]) prepared by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in July 1999. It is available via www.afdc.doe.gov/altfuels.htm but that site seems to be off the air at present. I got a copy on disk (1992Kb), it is very detailed. Will send you a copy if you like.

Had an inquiry and an itch.
