Hello,
When you take into account that you would be getting a large discount for the propane because your order is large. As well as the fact that you require 2 15+ KW generators to keep the place running it would be a close call. You need 2 generators that can handle the full power load in case one dies. At roughly $52.00 a day in fuel plus repairs and maintenance it would be interesting as to the cost difference, but the best thing would be the quiet. :) Right now the gen's are air cooled because they were cheap and it costs a lot of money to just buy new ones. The only big factor is the cost of the propane fridges and freezers. Aidan snip Well, at least I hope the guy actually costs out this move. Propane freezers? Propane is expensive stuff, can't imagine how all this stuff could be run off propane, especially for anything like a small resort, more cheaply than a good diesel cogen unit, even if you just burned dino-diesel. steve spence wrote: > > My father runs a hunting lodge off grid.
