I do it often. no gel occurs in the crankcase. the filter and injectors are cleaned on switchback before shutdown. biodiesel works better than diesel for start up and shut down. it's a better solvent.

I am considering converting a diesel electric power plant to run on straight preheated cooking oil. Starting the engine with petro diesel then switching to frying oil. How much gel occurs in the crankcase? Will injectors clean themselves on the switchback to petro diesel? > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > Biofuel at Journey to Forever: > http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel.html > Please do NOT send "unsubscribe" messages to the list address. > To unsubscribe, send an email to: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Your use of Yahoo!
