A major premise is apparently that the author is dismayed at the
influence of large companies and the Saudis, over WAshington pollicy.

I realize that some may differ strongly with this or that aspect of
such a topic, but I thought I'd bring this book to the attention of
those who might want to know of it, in these groups that on occassion
are concerned with general energy policy.  I realize that there are
international folks here, and that not everyone sees things as many
Americans do, and not all Americans see things the same, etc.
Nevertheless, here is news of the book, FWIW.  I include the CBN
report not to incite those whom it may anger, but it has direct quotes
and other reports don't.

This book ironically comes out, despite the villification of its
author for "spilling the beans" as a former intelligence guy, during
the same week that a 9-11 report has come out, examining what went
wrong here in the U.S. and a major section about the Saudis was
