Not realy.    Like I said, it depends on the capabilities of the vehical.
I had to deal with head winds and a uphill climb ( at the same time ), only
got about half the miles I expected because of the combination of the two.

For a light weight car that's not bad, would still drink more fuel in the
west, once you hit mountian country, but you could still fly up hill, should
you want to.

Tinted windows are only a short term solution because once the sun has been
on them awhile, they heat up and add heat to the car, and several
cities/states have laws against the windows being tinted.

I'll have to find out the particulars of the " Tour de Soul and this winning
Jetta ".    The year this happened would be helpful.
