The following US patent offers making biodiesel by adding 15% MeOH

What does this mean? There is no such compound as MeOH because there is no element with the symbol Me. Are you talking about methoxide? If so could you just say methoxide to avoid confusing people in future please.

and running the mix at 85degC past very high DC electrode to get
100% conversion - no glycerine, it is converted to 1,2,3-proprionate.
The only other byproduct is hydrogen. Very cool, just a little
scary [working with 3-5000 volts DC, but with care it can be done.
If there are any electrical supply people on the list who can describe
what it would take to produce these voltages, I for one am all eyes
and ears.]

Producing 3kv to 5 kv is no problem at all and there are plenty of places where high voltage transformers can be obtained on the cheap for DIY experimenters. It would help to know how much current is required and what is the configuration of the device. i.e. how is the electrode positioned etc. I would be willing to give it a try and am quite experienced and comfortable working with high voltage. I am also quite intrigued.

Anyway, we are in the process of attempting to start a moderately
large scale biofuel production plant in our area, something to the
tune of 10k gallons per week if possible--that's our 1 year goal for
production. We'll probably start closer to 2k and work our way up, but
we want to purchase equipment that will meet our needs for as long as
possible without going too over the top.

Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings...
Cheers!
