from one another. The dearth of public spaces, the lack of commercial development and recreational activities compel everyone to get into the car and drive somewhere else. Don't you understand how the economy works? If people in a community all walk to a public space and talk amongst each other and play and actually become a community, they aren't inside their miserable little houses watching TV and seeing ads for stuff that they can then drive to the mall and buy. Buying stuff and pharmaceuticals to try to make yourself not feel as depressed about your meaningless life can't be sustained if you have too much human socialization and start feeling better adjusted just from being around people you like hanging out with.
