Thanks for sharing this National Dance Week invitation with others: Saturday, April 28, 10:00-12:00 noon - The Art of Creative Aging, Tompkins County Library, 101 East Green Street
>From 10:00-20:00 noon on Saturday, April 28 at the Tompkins County Public Library, creative community members Barbara Thuesen, Natasha Tall, Wally Woods, Judith Pratt and others will explore what Abraham Maslow described as the ultimate stage of human development: the age of creativity and wisdom. The National Center for Creative Aging, whose founder/director Susan Perlstein visited Ithaca in 2003, combines advocacy with research on the effects of arts engagement on elders. For Saturday, we're also highlighting retirement as an opportunity to create a life of vitality, self-expression and contribution - whether the call is to dance, paint, grow a garden or nurture a grandchild. FREE and open to all. - fostering social, economic and environmental justice through collaborative initiatives in hospitality, education and the arts, in the 150 year-old democratic community spirit of the Danish Folk School __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
