Need a volunteer(s) for your sustainability project?
Students from this semester's State of the Planet course at Cornell,
mostly undergrads, are required to do 3 hours a week of a self-chosen
or self-developed action project so they are involved in solutions,
not just overwhelmed by the problems. Does your project or group need
help that can fit into an early February to early May schedule, and
is there someone who can help guide the volunteer(s) for at least
30-60 minutes a week so the outcomes are valuable to both you and the
student? If so, please notify me, along with a short description and
contact information, and I will put you on a list of possible
projects. Students who choose to work with you will do the follow-up.
If any questions about this, please contact me.

Note: Community based guides for service learning should be paid for
the education they provide, but this is rarely the case. We currently
have no funding to offer but are working on funding sources for
future courses. I suggest you keep the proposed work fairly simple,
unless you realistically have guidance time to spend to assure a
quality outcome for something more ambitious

Thanks
Elan
