*Cornell Launches New Sustainability Portal: Linking Research, Learning, Stewardship and Outreach *For more information contact: Dan Roth ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
For the first time within Cornell's home page there is a website to help the public explore the breadth of Cornell's efforts in sustainability. The new site http://www.cornell.edu/sustainability/ went "live" Tuesday afternoon. Over the next week the Collaborative Culture area in the lower left corner of the Cornell homepage will feature the sustainability updates to the Collaborative Culture page ( http://www.cornell.edu/collaborative/) The site provides both an overview and links to many specific programs and initiatives. Visit regularly to see new highlighted features. Many thanks, to Mark Lawrence (project manager), Zac Doob (designer), Dan Roth (content advisor), and Roger Segelken (writer from Publications & Marketing) for their creative work. *The portal also features a new system for you to "flag" your sustainability events and outreach programs. Flagging Events: *Next time you plan a event that relates to sustainability (on campus or in the community) add your event to the Cornell Events Calendar http://www.cornell.edu/events/add.cfm and check off the sustainability box under "Event Flags." This will automatically enter your events into our sustainability events calendar system. *Profiling Outreach Programs: *Involved in an outreach program that advances local or global sustainability? In 10 minutes you could be profiled within the brand new Outreach Portal's Sustainability Section. All you need is a Cornell net id. Visit http://www.cornell.edu/outreach/admin/ to add your program today. Be sure to check off "sustainability" as appropriate. -- Daniel Roth Sustainability Coordinator Office of Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Cornell University www.sustainablecampus.cornell.edu Youth Action Team Co-Chair US Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development www.uspartnership.org 607-254-8077 (office) 518-727-6723 (cell) 607-255-8461 (fax) 395 Pine Tree Road, Suite 230 Ithaca, NY 14850 _______________________________________________ For more information about sustainability in the Tompkins County area, please visit: http://www.sustainabletompkins.org/ RSS, archives, subscription & listserv information for: [email protected] http://lists.mutualaid.org/mailman/listinfo/sustainabletompkins free hosting by http://www.mutualaid.org
