The Finger Lakes Land Trust is pleased to announced the second annual Spring
Bird Quest to be held over Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26, 2008). This event
is a unique celebration of our local breeding birds and an opportunity to
support the Land Trust's efforts to preserve vital bird habitat. The Land
Trust's protected lands are filled with the songs and activities of breeding
birds in the spring.

Bird Quest participants visit Land Trust protected lands over Memorial Day
weekend and tally the birds that they see and/or hear. Participants are
strongly encouraged to raise pledge money from family, friends, and other
supporters. Money collected will benefit the Land Trust and its efforts to
protect important habitat in and around Tompkins County.

A registration fee of $25, or $15 for Land Trust members or students is
requested. Registered participants are eligible to win gift certificates
donated by event sponsor Wild Birds Unlimited (www.wbu.com
<http://www.wbu.com/> ) or framed photo prints donated by renowned wildlife
photographer Marie Read (www.marieread.com <http://www.marieread.com/> ).

For more information or to register call 607-275-9487 or

If you can't participate but want to support the event, your pledge is most
welcome, either for an individual participant or for the collective tally.
