announced
the Fall 2008 "Future of Rural New York Seminar" entitled:


"Transportation: A Critical Issue in Fostering Healthy Communities and 
Economies"
Friday, November 21, 3:00-4:30 p.m. at Warren Hall B32, Cornell University

The seminar will feature a panel of speakers, including:

Yael Levitte and Maralyn Edid of Cornell's School of Industrial and Labor 
Relations
on Seeking Sustainable Transportation Solutions for Low-income, Inner City 
Residents:
Research Findings and Policy Implications;

Chrisophia Somerfeldt of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County
on Transportation Networks and the Role of Education;

and Tim O'Hearn, County Administrator of Schuyler County,
on Rural/Regional Transportation Challenges from a County Perspective.

David Brown of CaRDI and the Cornell Dept. of Development Sociology will 
moderate.
