Why is it that I can commute daily at infinite miles per gallon, with
just a few pounds of CO2, but I cannot get a rebate while someone who
buys a foreign car, ships it across the world and drives all the time is
eligible for $500?

I want to see a rebate for people who promise to not buy a car. Then
we'd see more walking, more biking, more public transit, more
carpooling, more carsharing, more "vanpool", more trains, more podcars,
etc. instead of perpetuating the happy motorist society that is causing
so many issues.

But that would be too easy right?
