EnergyTeachers.org begins its two weeks of informal gatherings this evening at Cornell's solar cooker lab in the basement of Thurston Hall:

For the rest of the two weeks, we will meet at various Ithaca parks, Ithaca College, Eco Village, and in the virtual world Second Life. The purpose of the events is not to get all preachy about solar cooking, it is rather for educators and enthusiasts to enjoy the fast-increasing sun of spring and gather to discuss things in a social atmosphere, to slow down to the kind of laid-back feeling one gets when waiting patiently for a solar cooker to do its job, despite all the hectic excitement about upcoming Earth Day duties, "standardized" tests, college admissions, layoffs and buy-outs and school budgets, pirates, etc. For those of you familiar with Meetup, this is that kind of event. So check the list of sites on the web page given and pick a day to come and rap about whatever. Note, for most of the events, if the weather is bad (no sun at all), then that event at that venue is cancelled. Also note that we have open days next week. If you want to add a barbecue to the list, you can at:
