who:* Solstice** with Gadje & dj Gourd* what*:* *the Green Benefit* when*: *Thursday, August 6th at 8pm where*: *Castaways (413 Taughannock BLVD, Ithaca, NY) $10 at the door Plus inside we'll be raffling off great prizes generously donated by local companies including: Comet Skateboards Finger Lakes Running Company Ithaca Sports Medicine Ithaca Beer Gimme! Coffee As for the music, dj Gourd will start things off outside on the waterside patio with a mix of funk, afro-beat, and soul. Gadje start after 9 with their unique gypsy rock sound. Solstice will go on after 11pm and finish with their soul, r&b, funk, and reggae grooves. The Hub projects include a watt-meter lending program and building a Sustainable Enterprise Network. ZWFA works with local festivals like Ithaca Festival, Grassroots, and Musefest to increase recycling and composting and reduce overall waste. Donations will help these organizations purchases supplies needed to run and market these projects.
