Eric, I am probably going to attend this. Adam Flint of BRSC called today urging ST to attend as they hope for some regional networking to grow out of the two days. They realize that the local sustainability movement in Tompkins County is much more widespread and active than in other counties. In our conversation, he talked about how the TTI group is recognizing that much of what is needed is training in community organizing 101 -- lots of the TT sites have been initiated by people that don't have a background in organizing, so they are needing to start there fairly often.
He has been teaching a course at BU out of the TTI book, but he wasn't sure if there were any good examples yet in the US of groups that had successfully created an integrated program of transition. I'll be glad to talk with you after the workshop.
