as stated earlier google does index full text, im not sure under which
coditions though.
for example
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all&q=points+site%3Atreebuilder.de+filetype%3Asvg&btnG=Search
returns 2 svg files, the second one does not have a namespace
declaration and shows
File Format: Unrecognized
the first does have the namspace and does not show the File Format
information at all.
both files have title and desc elements, and both tile and desc get
indexed, the second file also has some text elements, which also
get indexed. the search term in the search above is "points" which is
part of the desc of the first file and part of the text content of the
second file.

whats so strange about this is that in this search
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all&q=textbox+site%3Atreebuilder.de+filetype%3Asvg&btnG=Search
all three files have the same title and desc, the last two dont have the
namspace, and dont display title or desc, but in the previous search,
the second file also didnt have the namespace, but still displayed the
title in the searchresult.

so i have to wait until google indexes my testfiles, to know more.

does anyone know of an official statement from google about it?

cheers
holger
