Hi Tom, Ronan,

yes, I am already pleased with the existing SVG support in Firefox.

quite a few examples of mine already work.

However, this bug is
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293224 a real problem for
me, since almost all of my examples rely on the .getScreenCTM()
method. I would have to change almost all of my examples in order to
do any further testing. This bug still appears "unconfirmed" - is
there any news on that?

Another question: should gzip support work with Firefox native SVG? So
far I was not successfull. I tried with the Windows GDI+ version on
Firefox, not the most current version, but fairly new.

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/svg/faq.html#script is also sort of
annoying. If I use XML for web graphics I also want the files to
validate. According to the current SVG1.1 dtd the files don't validate
correctly. Validation, sometimes helps a great deal to detect errors
... I understand that there are some political reasons, but for the
user it is quite annoying.

The lack of getURL/postURL is in my personal opinion not a big
problem, if alternative methods exist.

Thanks for your great work to all of the Mozilla SVG team, thanks
Ronan for bringing up the issue.
Andreas
