Basically ebay is saying PAY WITH PAYPAL, it is the only safe way to go (which is bullcr**), I've never had a problem with any online payment service EXCEPT paypal, they have "gotten" me both as a buyer and a seller. Why do you think ebay bought paypal? They make 3-6% or so final value fees. They see a way to make another 3-4+% on each auction. They tried to compete with ebay payments/billpoint "the ebay way to pay" but it didn't work. Nothing wrong with that, just business. But  paypal is unsafe and they don't care about who gets ripped off. When a transaction "goes bad" they take money from either the buyer or seller In many cases the innocent party is the one who gets burned. Bottom line is paypal will never eat the bad transaction themselves, they pass it on to one of the parties involved, innocent or guilty, does not matter to them. They should have some sort of insurance plan to cover things like that. I know how to protect myself now but this practice will continue and many innocent parties will suffer...........
