Everything worked for me in the 2.1 suite except the bookmarklet - nowhere to
drop it to that I could find.
I closed the browser and re-opened a fresh instance for each of my surfing
trials and tests.
I could not find a problem, except with that one page . . .

Can you please look at the version tests in the test suite to see if your flash

wrong with that.

Also, does the page work differently if you clear your cache and come back?
Maybe it's a race condition (which is why it worked the first time and not
after that).

Subject: Re: swfobject not working in IE 8

Well, I gotta take back my first report of 'no problem' -

When I first downloaded IE8, installed, did the forced re-boot, and opened the
page, all was well. I had the most recent flash player 10 installed already.

So now I re-opened IE8, checked the site again, and discovered that I was
looking at a different version of the page without flash - was directed to
upgrade my flash plug-in when I clicked on the widget, upgraded the flash
plug-in, and on returning to the page, got a yellow bar asking if I wanted to
use the flash plug-in on that page . . . what is THAT about? Even after I
consented to use the plug-in on the page, I can only see a greyed-out photo of
the widget . . .

I'm going to surf around the net with IE8 and see if I can tell what's up . ..
.

If you've been installing & un-installing beta versions of either IE8 or fla
