I had a very short look into this. My first impression is that these are experts from a non-computer-science domain who want to do collaborative problem-solving. (Quite similar to the circumstances in which IBIS originated.) First they made a plan what they wanted to do, and that looks like a very interesting use case from a modelling point of view. But then my impression is that they looked for existing models and tools which they could use to support their project and then arrived at IBIS-like systems, so it's nothing completely new from a modelling point of view.
