Fred, perhaps Eton, like me, is waiting make a decision on DRM until they
figure out how to pronounce "Mondiale."

Or maybe they are just waiting on the next generation digital shortwave,
  Digital Radio Dukakis. :-)

And I still think it was RICH Corinthian leather, 'cause Ricardo would trill
his r's. My high school Spanish has to count for something.

But there aren't too many VCR tapes from that era, and even less where tape
was wasted archiving commercials.

I once owned a Cordoba (purchased used and cheap) as a commuter car to keep
the mileage off of my RX-7. It had the slowest 0-60 time of any car ever with
a V-8 engine. Also the slowest 30-60, 50-70 and whatever increment you might
choose. Maybe my radios were putting an undue strain on the alternator, which
loaded the engine down too much. But Ricardo didn't say it was fast, just
luxurious. By the time I got mine, it was a few miles past luxurious. I ended
up giving mine to charity just so they would haul it off, and it seemed for a
moment that they were considering refusing it. :-)

Hey, Curt - what about the obvious (or is that oblivious?) fact that the
missing mode for Eton is DRM?! (I thought I'd open a can of worms to serve with
my whine.)

Cheers and Happy New Year!

And what the heck are Julianne fries? The culinary equivalent to "rich
