It seems to be quite common problem that people don't have icu
installed and then they don't know what went wrong with compiling. Maybe
it could be informed in README file and/or somewhere else so that they
and we are saved from extra work of help?
Even better would be to change the build system so that it would make
all necessary checks and give helpful message. Now it checks but as
usual those messages are lost in the sea of output.
