Thanks Greg, That's a very helpful summary of the multiple difficulties, not the least of which is manpower.
It almost makes one wonder how anything got done to support added words (even for the KJV), despite having well defined markup tags in both USFM and OSIS for several years now. ;>} Since nothing is universally agreed (the premier difficulty), perhaps it could usefully be drawn to the attention of the wider community at next year's Bible Technology conference? This issue must be of concern to Bible translators and publishers worldwide, not just to programmers with some connection to CrossWire.
