BEING AND NOTHINGNESS
Some themes from the book. The focus will probably be on Part III,
"Being-for-others". If you'd like to do any background reading, check out the
Stanford entry on Sartre: http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/sartre/.
Location: members bar, floor 1 (keep winding up to the top of the stairs), The
Gaelic Club, 64 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills Sydney (100 metres from a
Central railway station exit). Look for a group of people with notepads and
books who are taking it in turns to speak. Usually we'll be armed with the
Oxford Companion to Philosophy, and a bell. Probably we'll be ***out on the
terrace***.
No cost. No prerequisite reading. All welcome!
