Call for Papers – Philosophy of New Religion: An Analytical Study of New and
Alternative Religious Movements.
We are soliciting papers within analytical philosophy of religion to be
included in a collection on new and alternative religious movements. Each paper
(3,000 to 8,000 words) should offer a brief introduction to a movement and an
analysis of one or more of its core tenets.
Examples of suitable movements for study include (but are not limited to):
Scientology, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormonism),
Raelianism, Wicca, the Exclusive Brethren, Digitalism, Satanism, Falun Gong,
Rastafarianism, the Sathya Sai Baba movement, Eckankar, Voodoo, Osho, Deepak
Chopra, Theosophy, Rosicrucians, the Unification Church, and Christian Science.
Interested parties should email ([email protected]) an abstract (200 -400
words) of their proposed paper, along with their C.V by April the 30th.
