To clarify, I was calling init:bundle from inside the Symfony
interactive shell (I'd used 'app/console -s' to get into it) - this is
where it required the extra backslash.  When I tried it again directly
from bash (I'm using Ubuntu 10.10) it didn't require the extra
backslash.

Is it expected behaviour that strings will be parsed differently
within the Symfony shell than when called directly from outside?
