Comment #13 on issue 1374 by akshaysrinivasan: simplify(x**2-x**2.0) does not yield 0. http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=1374
How about we assume that (2.0 = 2), (x^2 = x^2.0), (Real(2.0) = Integer(2)) etc. whenever simplify is explicitly called, and have them unequal everywhere else by default. This in essence will be something functionally equivalent to what exists in Maxima. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
