Maybe there's a good reason for it, but why does powdenest also call powsimp?

In [28]: powdenest(x*(x**y)**z, force=True)
Out[28]:
 y⋅z + 1
x

I would have expected just x*x**(y*z). This way, the simplification functions are modular. If you want the powsimp behavior, you call it too. If you don't, you don't call it, and you don't get it.
