What is a price? I don't think, that few words in README.rst to instruct
users first install mpmath actually poses a problem.

It's already "not enough": there is a lot of external dependencies in sympy
(e.g. gmpy).

Yes. But the same argument is applicable to libc. Do you think that
almost every package in linux distribution should include a bundled copy of
libc?!

our case
DLL hell is a hell of reasons why distributions prefer unbundling :)
