I tried running this (from issue 1787) in the polys4 branch to see if it would 
come out better, and I got an error:

import sympy as S

for s in 'xyabcR':
   exec "%c=S.Symbol('%c')" % (s,s)

ans=S.solve([x**2+y**2-R**2,a*x+b*y-c],x,y)

print ans
