Thank you for your reply, Aaron. A few small independent things can be implemented from this project. But the problem is that Sympy lacks the base infrastructure, for me to add anything remarkable. Effort would be first put in to make a infrastructure and design a web of class hierarchies, which is very important but unremarkable when considering python skill level.
Still, Permutations is one such topic. I can implement a independent Permutation class which will inherit a Group later in my project. Permutation's practical aspects are quite phenomenal. It has many real- world applications, esp. in simulations, and in used in many swap games. The Rubik's Cube is the most famous example. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permutation_group But as I said, I will face difficulties because of the lack if infrastructure.
