I am a little busy till Saturday but I took a look at the planet.sympy.org
repository. If I understand correctly, it is working by updating an rss
file and then pushing changes to the server. The server then uses a tool to
convert the xml feeds into html.

First thing is that we can definitely upgrade. We'll just need a script to
get the latest blog posts from the feeds and then we will need a rss to
html converter.

By the way, I think planet is working but maybe the content isn't being
pushed to the server?
See this file
https://github.com/sympy/planet.sympy.org/blob/gh-pages/rss10.xml

It contains blog posts by Manoj, Chetna among others.

Perhaps you should run the update script again?
