My bad. There is a string handling routine in the get routine that works just great on a small html file but seems to run forever on a large file. I haven't identified precisely what the problem is yet.
Sorry to bother you guys. Special thanks to Wily Dev. btw, Synapse and Regexpr2 are fantastic and kudos to everyone who has made them possible. If it weren't for synapse and regexpr2, I wouldn't be able to use freepascal (which is also great) for what I need to do.
